Greenvisions - Citizens for Brampton Conservation

Save Castlemore

The Concern

A planned development on the Castlemore Golf lands will deprive area residents of vital green space and endanger numerous species of wildlife. (See wildlife pictures of turtles, deer, and fish that live in this area.)

Background

In 2005, a group of people came together to fight a common community cause, saving the Castlemore Golf lands green space from new development. We soon realized there were many other people who were also working together to overcome their own community challenges in Brampton whether it be environmental or social issues. In our endeavours to make our community a better place we realized we all face similar challenges; raising public awareness, increasing volunteer support and raising funds for our respective causes. This led to the creation of Greenvisions.
